It all started with dreams and stories that Asya made up all the time. She always imagined these stories as films and one day the soundtrack to that film - the first song of the Bottled Fish band was created. Fascination with music, playing with reshaping the form of songs and genres, a combination of indie - rock, alternative, a pinch of psychedelia and synth-wave stand on the duo formed by Asya Shakurová and Nikita Zhitnikov
It is a mosaic of the world mixed together in Prague, Czech republic: she comes from Kazan, Tatarstan, Nikita is from Kazakhstan and pianist Anton Saller & guitar player Maxim Cherepanov from Ukraine completes the band. They have been on the scene since 2019, they have played dozens of club and festival concerts.
In 2020, they released their debut EP "No One", the media compared them to Nierica or Air. A year later, they presented themselves to experts from the Czech Republic and abroad at the showcase of the Nouvelle Prague festival & Vary Good Fest.
In the spring of 2023, they released their debut full-length album “Dreams Lie”. The genre-varied record is most often in indie rock and blues. Songs about loss, helplessness, disappointment and pressure from society carry a strong desire to overcome obstacles again and again. Drummer Roman Vícha is a guest on the record, the album was recorded and mixed by Tomáš Jochmann at Baracca Records, mastered by Gaex.
The song "Do Evil" from Dreams Lie stayed in the Velká Sedma chart on Radio 1 for 7 weeks, Dreams Lie was presented by the band on radio Proglas, Rockzone, in Headliner magazine, Rock&Pop, Nový Populár, Full Moon and on Hudba.sk.
