Czech film music at MUSEXPO

MUSEXPO in Los Angeles is currently underway, once again confirming its position as one of the most influential global platforms connecting music, media and sync industries. This year, the Czech Republic is strongly represented through a focused presence of music professionals and a flagship presentation of contemporary Czech film music.

A Czech delegation is also on site, meeting with publishers, music supervisors and other key players from across the film and television sectors over the course of several days. MUSEXPO is one of the places where the creative and business sides of music naturally intersect — where real collaborations are formed across continents and new opportunities open up for Czech creators within the international audiovisual landscape.

Part of the Czech presence is also a networking reception co-hosted by SoundCzech and MUSEXPO, taking place on Monday, March 23 at Castaway in Burbank. The informal gathering connects international guests with Czech professionals and creates space for further exchange and collaboration.

Later that evening, the concert Echoes of the Czech Cinema, developed in collaboration with Composers Summit Prague, takes place at the iconic Colony Theatre. Featuring orchestral performances of newly composed works inspired by Czech films, the event is presented to an audience of leading music and film industry professionals, directly linking artistic output with the international market.

The Czech presence at MUSEXPO is built on long-term collaboration between SoundCzech, Composers Summit Prague and other partners (OSA, PPF Foundation), and is made possible thanks to the important financial support of the City of Prague. This support allows Czech music to be present exactly where these opportunities are created. Thank you!
