SoundCzech is heading to Slovenia for MENT Ljubljana with a supported delegation of ten Czech music professionals and two Czech acts in the official programme. Ida The Young and Klara Wodehn will perform in Ljubljana on Thursday, 19 February.

MENT Ljubljana is one of the key showcase festivals in Central and South-Eastern Europe. Each year, it connects emerging artists with music industry professionals from across the continent, creating space for international collaboration, mobility and knowledge exchange. This year, SoundCzech supports a ten-member Czech delegation that will use the festival as an opportunity to build new connections and further strengthen the international positioning of the Czech music scene.

Two Czech names also appear in the concert programme. The five-piece band Ida The Young combines intimate vocals and evocative lyrics with colourful instrumentation, moving between folk, americana and contemporary influences. Following their EPs Strange Shaped Flowers (2023) and Silver Thing, they release their debut full-length album Tell Me When You Pass The Sun in 2025, while regularly performing both at home and abroad; they are also recipients of the Vinyla 2025 Discovery of the Year award.

Brno-based producer and vocalist Klara Wodehn delivers a distinctive blend of autotuned vocals and rap set within glitchy dreamscapes shaped by cloud-rap rhythms and ambient textures. After the EPs Dream Life (2022) and Hyperion (2024), she continues to explore themes of imagination, technology and parallel worlds, while remaining active in a range of collaborative and interdisciplinary projects.
