Jiný Metro is the indie-folk songwriter duo of Katie Alžběta Brown and Klára Čmejrková. Since their first concert in 2018, it has grown into a four-piece band of multi-instrumentalists. Their songs are rich with vocal harmonies and instruments that move around the stage – including the tenor and baritone ukulele, electric guitar, flute, clarinet, cello, keyboard, bass, and drums.
After their debut album Rande s Revizorem (2021), the band released the EP Tossing and Turning (2024), accompanied by three music videos.
Over the years, Jiný Metro has performed across the Czech Republic and internationally, including festivals such as Rock for People, Metronome, Mezi ploty, Praha žije hudbou, Povaleč, Waves Vienna, Latitude (UK), Electric Picnic (IE), Fragile Festival (IT), as well as club shows in Germany and Poland.
